Today I have a sweet greeting card to share with you for Cut At Home.
This set comes with lots of great sentiments.
I made a standard A2 sized card.
I first used the Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Rectangle Dies, and using the largest pierced die, I ran that through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine on Ranger Watercolor Paper. This gives me a beautiful edge to my mat piece.
I then trimmed out my piece with my paper trimmer to 3 3/4" x 5". I stamped my flower image on the smooth side using VersaMark Ink. This is a sticky ink that will allow embossing powder to adhere to. I used white embossing powder, and heat set that with my heat gun.
Using Tim Holtz Distress Markers (colors listed here), I colored in my image. This is a fun image to color. I also used the Tim Holtz Water Brush to give me a water colored look to my image.
I choose a coordinating color from Spellbinders Celebra'tions Assorted 12x12 paper to mat this image piece on.
I choose the Totally Tangerine paper & cut it to 4" x 5 1/4. Using Angel Craft 1/4" tape, I added lots of tape to the back since it was a tiny bit warped from the water. I then matted that to my colored piece.
Using the large "I miss" stamp from this set, I inked that with Spellbinders Totally Tangerine True Color Fusion Ink.
This will match my mat piece. I then stamped a smaller sentiment that says "everything about you" on a tiny scrap of the Totally Tangerine paper & added that below my sentiment.
I added a few enamel dots by Teresa Collins.
I adhered both my mat pieces onto a piece of chipboard to give it strength & dimension, and added that to my white card base, which is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2.
To give the flowers a little sparkle, I ran my Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen over them.
I also finished off the inside of my card with three more mats. Using the same Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Rectangles die, I used the largest for a mat & cut out the same Totally Tangerine Cardstock. I cut down a white piece of cardstock, then a smaller piece of the Totally Tangerine Cardstock & layered them. I added a tiny flower stamp from the same Joy Clair collection using the Totally Tangerine True Color Fusion Ink.
I hope you've enjoyed this quick & fun card today. Please check out the video on Cut At Home's Blog to see a full process of how this came together.
