Sizzix Needle Book for Cut At Home

Today I'd like to share a sweet new die with you from Sizzix. This new Sizzix die is the Bigz Scoreboards Needle Book and can be found at Cut At Home.

With this die I made two books. One as a needle book, the other as a small brag book.

               

 

Using Little Sizzles Mat Board Pack White, I added patterned paper to both sides of the mat board with Angel Craft Podge, and ran that through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine. This die cuts, and scores all your lines for you.

It even cuts a wrap-around closure for your little book. To the inside of my Needle Book, I added two pieces of felt, cut to 3 1/2" H x 4" W. I added a tiny strip of hot glue to the center of them, then wrapped seam binding around the center & tied it into a bow. I then added my sewing needles & pins...it was that simple!

I've made a second book using the same method, by adding my patterned paper first, then running it through my die cut machine. For this book, I've used My Minds Eye Lost & Found collection.

  

To the inside of my second book, I cut down patterned paper to 3 1/2" H x 4" W, and using my Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit Stylus, I added a score line down the center at 2". I then centered that in my book, wrapping twine around several times, then tying a bow on the binding. This makes for a cute little brag book. Great for stocking-stuffers.

To the front of this book, I've added a tiny journaling tag, along with a few tiny roses to finish it off.
