Hello! Thanks for stopping by!
Today I'm sharing two Christmas cards with you for Cut At Home. These are super easy to make, but the recipient will think you spent lots of time on them.
I'm using a Framelits Die by Sizzix called Gift Card Flip-its.
This die comes with 19 dies. It includes beautiful flower dies, where you can choose which center to use. It comes with the base card die, mat's, and also scores your lines for you. As you can see, this would make a great birthday card, and you can include a gift card in it as well. Today, I'm making two beautiful Christmas cards...one holds a gift card, the other does not.
These are standard A-2 sized cards, which means they will fit in a standard-size envelope.
For my first card:
I'm using the beautiful Graphic 45 Twas The Night Before Christmas paper. I have covered both the front and back of my card, using the dies that come in the set.
My card base is cut from Kraft Cardstock & ran through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine. I adhered all my papers down with Angel Craft Tape. I have cut a mat to 3 5/8" x 2 3/8", then ran the gift-card die through my Sizzix, which cuts out notches perfectly to hold a gift card.
The beautiful Christmas Sentiment on the front was printed from my computer. I bought the sentiment from the on-line Silhouette store. I will list the file below. I've added a few Poinsettia flowers and leaves to finish off my beautiful card.
For my second card:
I've used the Graphic 45 A Christmas Carol Collection. This is a beautiful Christmas collection! For the back-side of my card, I have left that blank for my sentiment. I have also printed out the sentiment from my computer, but replaced the word "holidays" with the Tim Holtz Holiday Sayings Script Dies. I love these dies!
I first cut it in red cardstock, then used the DCWV Glitzy Glitter Cardstock in Silver & layered them together for the front of my card. I then finished with using the same Poinsettia flowers & leaves.
I sure hope you've enjoyed today's share. As you can see this die would be great for so many different occasions. I had fun making these & I know my family will love them.
Thanks for stopping by. I have a process video showing one of these cards from start to finish. If you'd like to check that out, please stop by Cut At Home's Blog. You will also find a full list of supplies.
Happy Holidays!!
