Hello! Today for Cut At Home I'm sharing a December Journal/Keepsake Book.

2015-09-29 18.18.50 2015-09-29 18.19.04

This book is designed to document the month of December. I've added lots of journaling spots & lots of room for photos.

The patterned paper I've used to embellish this book is Graphic 45's A Christmas Carol, and Twas The Night Before Christmas. Both are beautiful collections for Christmas!

For the cover of my book, I stamped out Tim Holtz Book Cover Stamp (currently on special) with Momento London Fog Ink on white cardstock.

2015-09-030  I then used a Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending tool along with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink & inked the entire paper. Using an embossing pen, I ran that along the edges of the paper (using another paper as a guide), then added silver embossing powder & heat-set with my heating tool. This gave the perfect detail to the edge of my paper.

For a beautiful label:   Screenshot_3  I used the Spellbindings Shapeabilities D-Lites Petite Labels One Die & ran the largest size through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine, using silver glitter paper. I also choose the second largest size & cut a piece of red cardstock & layered them on top of chipboard, giving it dimension. I cut the number 25 that I printed from my computer & cut out in an oval shape...then adding Glossy Accents to it. Once that was dried, I added that to my labels, and adorned it with flat-back pearls.
I also added a cut from my Cameo of Santa's Belt, using the same silver glitter paper, and black cardstock.

After that was completed, I added my book cover to a red piece of cardstock that measured 4 3/4" x 6 3/4". I did the same to the back side of the book, however I did not embellish it.
I added my covers to chipboard, measuring 4 3/4" x 6 3/4", and added red cardstock to the other side as well. I adhered all of this down with Angel Craft Tape.
I've added lots of inside journaling pages, along with the beautiful Christmas papers, to give this book lots of room for documenting, and adding photos. Here are some photos of the inside:

From the Graphic 45 Tags & Pockets A Christmas Carol, I added a tag along with a pull-out journaling card  to the inside front cover.
I've added a calendar for December, which will help keep track of important events.

I've used a few of the Tim Holtz Holiday Script Words Die in this album. I love the look of them!

There are lists throughout, which would be useful for adding names of who you are shopping for, and gift ideas.

I've titled several of the papers on Kraft Cardstock adding a tap to the top of each, which can be used a journaling prompts. I have also used strips of the glitter paper throughout.
